Q1. Answer these questions in one or two words?

Name the animal that:-

(i) Take away your food when you are eating in an open ground-

Ans.  Eagle, Kite.

(ii) Can see 4 times far as we can see-

Ans. Vulture.

(iii) Can feel vibration on the ground-

Ans. Snake.

(iv) Can warn about danger by giving warning call in the jungle-

Ans. Langoor.

(v) That sleep in winter-

Ans. Lizards.

(vi) Look like bear and spend about 18 hours in sleeping-

Ans. Sloth.

(vii) Find his female by its smell from a long distance-

Ans. Silkworm.

Q2. What are sense organs? Name them?

Ans. Sense organs are the window of outer world, they help us to see, smell, taste, hear and feel. They are eyes, nose, tongue, ears and skin.

Q3. Why the dogs urine on the road?

Ans. By urine dogs mark their area on the ground.

Q4. Why do birds move their neck very often?

Ans. Because their eyes are fixed so they move their neck to see around.

Q5. Why do birds have their eyes either side of head?

Ans. So they focus two things at a time.

Q6. How do snakes hear although they do not have ears?

Ans. Snake have no ears they hear with vibration on the ground.

Q7. Why do lizards not seen during winter?

Ans. Because during winter lizards go into long deep sleeping.

Q8. What are endangered animals?

Ans. Animal which extinct soon are called endangered animals. Like tiger, sparrow.

Q9. Who are poachers?

Ans. People who kill wild animals are called poachers or hunters.

Q10. Why do people kill animals?

Ans. People kill animals for meat and their body parts to sell them at a high cost.

Q11. How do ants recognize their friends?

Ans. Ants recognize their friends by their smell.
